This fire instructions for staff sign reads:
If you discover a fire:
a) Ensure that no-one is in immediate danger.
b) Raise the alarm by sounding the nearest fire alarm.
c) Attempt to tackle the fire with the correct appliance unless the fire is beyond obvious control.
d) If the fire is beyond control, evacuate the building closing as many doors as possible.
If you hear the alarm:
a) Staff should escort all visitors out of the building and a roll call should be taken.
b) A designated person should call the fire brigade in accordance with the relevant instructions. Ensure the brigade is called to every fire or suspicion of fire.
