I recently came across this fine collection of football stickers in my loft  where they have lived for the past 25 years, having probably spent the previous 15 years in different lofts! As we enter the 2026-27 season 40 years later, now seems the perfect time to bring them out of the dark and give them a new lease of life for the world to enjoy!

I have not come across a sticker album to go with them so maybe I was just too lazy to bother with that mullarkey, or these are just all the swapsies and the sticker album got dumped years ago.

Please enjoy a trip down memory lane recalling players we idolised, players we have forgotten and players who are sadly no longer with us. And of course the haircuts were somehing else! Each sticker has a brief bio on the back and I’m not going to be writing any additional player information. Wikipedia already does a fine job of that so I will endeavour to link to player’s Wiki pages where present. I may drop the odd additional comment here and there for players from my team – you’ll find out which team that is soon enough I’m sure.

I’m not looking to sell any of the collection (but will of course consider absolutely ridiculously high offers!)

I hadn’t a clue what series these stickers were from but with the help of Google’s Gemini it appears that the sticker collection was produced by a short-lived publisher called New Generation – so I guess that makes them even more valuable!!
