The Crafty Old Boot Sale
Many of the items featured within my store here will also be making an appearance at a carboot sale somewhere in or near to Berkshire soon. Why not grab a bargain or two in advance by making me an offer for anything that catches your eye. Items can be collected free of charge from me locally in Wokingham, made available for collection at the next car boot sale I publicise that I will be attending or posted to you for a small charge.
Just like at a carboot sale you can have a haggle with me by simply submitting an offer for me to accept, counter or reject. The same system will also allow you to pay for items via PayPal at the carboot sale from whatever carpark or field we happen to be in.
Since I closed the health & safety signage business I have occupied myself with some new time fillers. I have attempted some crafting but as suspected I have no natural talent for that sort of thing but I will persevere until I find something I both enjoy and excel at. I have taken up kayaking which has become my new favourite way to fill a few hours, so I may just stick to rivercraft rather than handicraft! I have also been clearing out old signage stock, de-cluttering and buying and selling random stuff, attending auctions and car boot sales. So there you go, I guess this website is going to end up being a biography of my journey from business owner through semi-retirement and what lies beyond, documenting successes and failures along the way. Enjoy the story, have a laugh with me (or at me), grab yourself a bargain or two and maybe we’ll meet along the way in a field or on the water.
