About The Crafty Old B***er
The crafty old b***er is someone with zero crafting talent who lacks any creative skills whatsoever. Well, that’s not strictly true I create a lot of stuff I just don’t have the patience or talent to actually do anything properly. Why do a job properly when good enough will do? Why waste time with rulers and levels when approximately even or straight will do? It’s much more satisfying rummaging around the garage looking at what you have lying around that can be quickly bodged into a solution.
When I’m not being a bodger I like to create stock for some glass crafting projects by emptying beer, wine and spirit bottles. Of course I don’t just pour the contents away! I have combined the stock making process with darts practice but I can’t quite put my finger on it but for some reason my darts accuracy is pretty good after the 3rd glass before rapidly tailing off. How Jocky Wilson ever won a match I’ll never know but total respect.
In the warmer months I like to down tools and get out and about with friends and family to do a spot of camping and kayaking. As you will see from time to time as you explore this website, my boating, bodging and boozing talents seem to complement each very well!
Apart from turning 60, the big event for 2026 will be a trip down a stretch of the River Wye in June over a few days, details of which I will include within as they happen with related photos and videos.
